FAMILY
NAME ORIGIN DATABASE
By
operating the FNO program you are offering your
customer a unique and personalised product to be
treasured by the family for years to come as a lifetime
Keepsake.
All research and
information in the database has been researched
from recognised sources of reference and relates
to information associated to a given family name
back to it's earliest origin and in most cases as
far back as the 12 century. The FNO database contains
in excess of 200,000 surname origins and written
descriptions of the Coat of Arms.
Surnames as we know
them today were first assumed in Europe from the
11th to the 15th century. They were not in use in
England and Scotland before the Norman conquest
and were first found in the domesday book.
How
the system works:
Simply select a
name and the FNO automatically finds that name in
the directory and at a click you can display the
information for pre-printing viewing if you wish.
An edit function allows addition of alternate spelling
at the click of you mouse.
In built FNO functions allow you to re-size text
/ reposition text, use any Windows font, print portrait
or landscape. operates with any printer, change
